So I made it to Harvard!
On April 30th and May 1st, Harvard Medical School hosted the 2nd conference on: The Science of Tai Chi and Qigong as whole-person health. Presenting were some of the top scientists and Medical professors in the field, and they echoed that Healthcare is in trouble and there is a huge need to integrate the ancient wisdom of Chinese energetic practices and Energetic medicine (also known as Medical Qigong).
This moment of a powerful and resounding YES to further and deeper integration of Eastern and Western medicine, landed exact on Bealtine and the Full Moon - the day I was presenting our poster and my case studies, at Harvard Medical School.
One of my cases demonstrates the effectiveness of our medicine, in areas where Western medicine exhausts its effectiveness: the case of a 12 year-old paraplegic boy who walked within 48 hours of 1 treatment from me. In the treatment session, I worked in direct communication with his spirit body (via the intrinsic cardiac nervous system), his energy body (via deeply purging and then regulating his Qi), and his physical body (via the interstitial and fascia network).
Our research also highlighted the cultivation of the practitioner is a large part of the outcome of effectiveness, a testament to staying in devotion and dedication to practice.
One of the incredible Professors who was a keynote speaker, Helen Lavretsky, had Sekhem listed in her presentation! We later talked about beloved Mother Sekhmet, who is The Patron of Doctors and Physicians- and is directly connected into my prayer that led me to becoming a Doctor of Chinese Energetic Medicine!
This was a monumental moment to be a part of, and I was privileged to team up with some of my esteemed colleagues in the field of Energetic Medicine, Eliza Meeker DCEM, JD (US/France), Harrinder Singh DCEM BSCE, and Leonard Shen DCEM, JD (Harvard), who each bring their own unique embodiment of this ancient system out to their students and patients, and were each a key part of our collaborative poster presentation.
Eliza gave a phenomenal presentation on women's health and Menopause. It was a joy to see many other DCEM graduates there too!
A big and unexpected take-away for me was being asked to publish a paper on my successful case studies.
The feeling of the floodgates opening and the ushering in of a new chapter was felt and was palpable. Sekhmet making herself present and known - as always she is strongly guiding. The wisdom of the Ancient Daoist and Buddhist masters flowing behind us, our incredible teachers that blazed the trail for us: So much gratitude to our professor Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson, who was instrumental in preserving these ancient teachings. And to my beloved Mother, Liz Kennedy, who was 1 of 9 women in Ireland who were the very first to be trained in Chinese Medicine in our country in the early 90s.
After Boston, headed to Salem and my dear sis Eliza and I gave offerings of Blue lotus under a mother tree in the center of the town... laying down prayers for continued healing deep into the land.
It was a very powerful experience to take a birds eye view of what unfolded at Harvard from the perspective of the Priestess, the medicine woman, the witch, the oracle - all the places that women were condemned to tread, and now finally, it feels a shift has occurred within this out-dated paradigm and oppressive system. We have a ways to go, but to have the top of the food chain in western medicine saying yes to being behind us, it feels like a huge win and revolutionary moment,
May Ma'at be restored
