Healing begins with the practitioner.
To become a skilled and integritous healer of others, the practitioner must first heal themselves.
This practice-centered program progresses from self-cultivation through energetic perception and detailed treatment protocols, preparing highly qualified Medical Qigong practitioners for master’s-level certification. The curriculum also offers a deep exploration of mythological and cross-cultural correspondences among Irish Indigenous spirituality and the Druid tradition, ancient Egyptian alchemy and the Sekhmet physician-priesthood, and the primordial Mother Goddess in ancient Daoist tradition.
A key unifying theme of the course will be to work with Divine Feminine energies, which are sometimes under-represented in spiritual training — and yet so essential to ensure balance in a challenging world.

The M.E.M. curriculum develops progressively across 3.5 years, moving from foundational self-cultivation and energetic awareness into clinical application, advanced energetic practice, and integrated service from an overflowing cup. Students study through weekly classes, guided practice, and intensive in-person training workshops.

Throughout the program, students progressively develop the ability to work with the body, energy, mind, spirit, and Divine fields while cultivating the personal integrity, discernment, energetic hygiene, and clinical responsibility expected of an M.E.M. practitioner.

Two-hour live Zoom class
Weekly teaching, exercises, meditation, discussion, and integration, with four vacation weeks each year.
Eight in-person workshops
Semi-annual four-day clinical workshops in the San Francisco Bay Area, with the final workshop and graduation in Ireland in summer 2030.
Practice between classes
Training in treating clients remotely, small faculty-led groups, and encouraged twice-weekly Standard Daily Practice walk-throughs.
A community for the long arc
Student groups, social time during workshops, ongoing coaching, and private year-end assessments with tailored feedback.
Prepare to pursue work with VA patients.
The M.E.M. program includes more than 600 hours of classroom and clinical training. After completing the 600 hours, graduates will be strongly encouraged to pursue enrollment in the VA program through the National Qigong Association portal, which has been established to facilitate entry into the approved list of VA providers.

Dr. Deirdre Kennedy
DCEMDr. Kennedy completed her 5-year Doctorate in Chinese Energetic Medicine – Medical Qigong under the tutelage of world-renowned Qigong Grandmaster Professor Jerry Alan Johnson in 2024.

She has a diverse background in healing arts, energetic practices, and spiritual trainings since 2001. These include Shamanic practices, Alchemical Healing, Reiki, Bio Geometry, Sacred Geometry, non-denominational Mindfulness Meditation facilitation, Irish and Egyptian ritual and shamanic leadership, and studies and practices in Tibetan Buddhism, Shaolin Kung-Fu, Daoism, and dream training.
She is an Ordained and Initiated Mystic High Priestess, initiated into Irish and Egyptian lineages, having trained for over 10 years. She is also an Ordained Gnostic Mystic Priestess and an Ordained Buddhist Mystic Lama.
Dee has been training, traveling, and leading spiritual retreats in Egypt since 2006.
A founder of the former nonprofit arts organization Living Dream Arts, which provided free arts education to at-risk youth in the Bay Area from 2009–2017, Dee is also a recorded music artist, film producer, actor, and writer.
In April 2026, Dee presented her remarkable Medical Qigong case study research at Harvard Medical School with Dr. Meeker and Dr. Shen as part of The Science of Tai Chi and Qigong as Whole-Person Health—alongside some of the leading scientists and medical professors in the field.

He is the founder of CaliforniaQigong.com, where he and his fellow Medical Qi Gong doctors provide beginning to advanced qi gong training, and medical qi gong treatments.
Dr. Shen and his colleagues co-presented multiple posters and experiential workshops at the Harvard Medical School conference on “The Science of Tai Chi and Qi Gong” in May 2026. Their “Introduction to Medical Qi Gong” webinar was featured by the National Qigong Association in August 2026.
Dr. Shen has provided over 80 pro bono Qi Gong workshops at homeless shelters, veterans facilities, dementia wards, and women’s cancer groups over the last several years.

Her background includes dual qualification as an American and French lawyer, certification as a Reiki Master Teacher, and 7th-dan rank in both the Japanese National Iaido Federation and Musojikiden Eishin Ryu Iaido.

Eimear is the Chosen Chief of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids (OBOD) and lives in Kilkenny, Ireland.
Eimear has retired from her private practice as a Counselling Psychologist after 33years. Her interests in Druidry and psychology have led her to act as a Celebrant, helping people to design and enact meaningful rites of passage. She is licensed to perform legal weddings in the Republic of Ireland and can also offer non legal ceremonies.
Eimear has a deep love of the ancient Irish tales and has a passion for storytelling. She brings the old tales to new audiences, and - while remaining faithful to the stories - often examines them from new perspectives, so that listeners experience them as fresh and relevant. She particularly enjoys showing people the sacred sites of Ireland and telling the ancient tales right where they happened.
Eimear is also a Priestess dedicated to Danú in the Fellowship of Isis. She is an Arch Druidess in the Druid Clan of Dana and a member of the Noble Order of Tara.

Jackie Close, MTCM, EAMP, DCEM, is a licensed practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Doctor of Chinese Energetic Medicine, and certified Medical Qigong and Tai Chi instructor with more than 20 years of clinical experience. After earning her Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2002, Jackie spent 22 years in private practice, treating tens of thousands of patients and developing a deep appreciation for the power of Qigong as a tool for healing and self-cultivation.
She began her Qigong journey in 2006 and has studied and taught multiple traditional systems, including Yi Ren® Qigong, Muscle-Tendon Change Classic, Eight Pieces of Brocade, and Eighteen Hands of Luohan. She earned her Doctorate in Chinese Energetic Medicine in 2024 and has studied with respected teachers including Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson and Dr. Richard Tan.
Since 2022, Jackie has also pursued advanced spiritual training in Esoteric Buddhist Mysticism and was ordained in 2025 within the Zhengyi Celestial Master Daoist tradition. Today, she focuses on remote Qigong healing and teaching Medical Qigong and Tai Chi, empowering people with practical tools for self-healing, self-cultivation, and whole-person wellness.

What is the Order of the Emerald Feather?+
The Order of the Emerald Feather is a harmonic fellowship composed of initiates, scribes, healer-Priests, Doctors, Masters and trainees of Energetic Medicine, and Ma’at-bearers devoted to the sacred restoration of balance through the Living presence of Ma’at and the remembrance of the wisdom frequencies of Djehuty.
Do I need prior experience in energy healing?+
No. Students of all levels are encouraged to apply. Passion, diligence, and commitment to grow and support oneself and others are essential.
What are the attendance expectations?+
Attendance live or by recording is expected for online classes. Attendance is also expected at in-person workshops and remote practice sessions with fellow students. Non-degree students may attend the Zoom classes. Participation by Zoom only does not qualify a student for degree certification.
Will online classes be recorded?+
Yes. Online classes will be recorded and available in Zoom. Recording of in-person workshops is still to be determined.
Will Continuing Education credits be available?+
Continuing Education Credits (C.E.U.s) may be available for certain professions in certain states. Eligibility is not guaranteed and depends on the individual’s profession, jurisdiction, and applicable requirements.
